Sculpture
Being pregnant with child i turned to sculpture- it was a completely organic, intuitive, grounding experience. Inspiration came from within the stone and within the body, and I have continued to sculpt that way. Subjects have morphed from the stylized power of the archetypal male, female and child to the apparent disintegration of form as it moves through water. My stone work often takes on references I am currently exploring in my painting series. I also work with the structure and geological makeup of the stone itself, and create more amorphic forms, and organically natural
My most recent work is from the series titled
” Landscapes of the mind - Dreamscapes and Scholar Stones above the clouds”
